For the next few weeks (or months? years?) the site will be in a bit of a mess, I’m transitioning it over to a new look and some links and stuff will be broken for a while until it’s all sorted.
They finally came back….just another quick and dirty photoshop gallery deal…
Click the link of the day already…….
In other news, we’re selling the Commodore, a part of the family for 8something years (I think!) time to sell it, since we now have the Skyline (which is a marginally better and newer car, if you know anyone who wants to buy our fulsik VL, let me know!
Another version of it, with some more work done and a little bit of mock text and stuff to see how it will look when populated with something besides black empty space.
Comments welcome…pppuuulllleeeaaasseeeeee, anyone out there?
I hit my first Kangaroo on Saturday night, I hate Kangaroos more than ever now, stupid freakin animals. The damage was minimal, somehow the idiot thing flung itself over the bonet and thumped into the windscreen. The only evidence that we hit it is the grease stain on the windscreen and some paw marks on the bonet…oh yeah, and the dirty great crack down the middle of the window…thanks Mr O’Brien, here’s $200.
I hate kangaroos.
Oh yeah, I’m working on a new interface (I hate this green)…here’s a preview:
We bought 200m of 25mm polypipe, not normally exciting by itself..well, actually, it’s not exciting in any way, but that’s quite an achievement for us and represents the fact that everything is back to normal (as normal as it gets around here).
The plants we planted around the house in the fill and cut areas are growing amazingly well, probably mostly due to the dedication of Kristie watering them (with my willing help of course)..I’ll post pictures one day.
I’ve been flexing my photoshop muscle again..and produced some wallpapers for the Williamsdale BFB, here they be:
(These are just small sample versions, if you want the full ones, mail me (link on left)
Some other things I photoshop’d up recently:
A sig I made for the AOB ozforums (Scratch is me, in case you didn’t know). I ended up getting a little carried away and made about 6 others for various other AOB members. I’m odd like that.
and the others:
(my personal favourite)
(modified by paul/bender, nice one guv!)
A couple of sigs for the EQ forums, voting on the forum showed that people like the top one better, I personally like the bottom one, but go figure!:
I have a bunch of other stuff I’ve done, leave a comment if you want to see them. I’m still learning, Photoshop is such a huge package but I’m getting the drift of it pretty quick, and learning all the quick ways to get great effects done without much screwing around.
Follow the link of the day, Jeremey’s news is way more interesting than mine (but he gathers stuff from all over the place, not just his backyard 😉
A dispointing .5mm today…bummer.
Also, check this out…news item from this site, exactly 12 months ago:
5.5mm of rain last night, it’s a start!
Just a quick and dirty for now until I get a chance to do a little more with them..I’ve decreased the size to 800×600 (they’re 1536×1024 normally) and run them through the photoshop auto gallery thingy, this will do for now until I fiddle with them a little more.
If anyone wants the originals (soft copies) of any of these let me know and I can email them to you.

(link broken, no longer exists)
And checkout this bad boy…BEFORE and AFTER shots using some kinda Satellite, I’m sure…
Click here to see it. (Thanks to Mark Barrett for this one)
Well, the fires came and passed. Kristie and I spent 3 weeks in the back of firetrucks, protecting property from gigantic fire breathing lizards or dousing smoking tree stumps in water..and in the end, we still have to go to work, clean the house and mow the lawn…business as usual.
We have 2 camera’s full of pictures that are still not back from being developed, as soon as they are I’ll post the ones that don’t look like a blurry black and red blob of amorphous nothing (they’ll be the ones Kristie took 😉
I should also be helping put together a ‘scrap book’ for Williamsdale brigade, war stories, pictures etc etc, I’ll post a link when it’s done.
