Raise the Portcullis!!!

07 Feb

I always wanted a castle instead of a real house, but Kristie wouldn’t let me build it, now at least, we have a moat. It finally stopped raining but they wont be able to start work for a few days for fear of losing some labourers in the quicksand that’s formed around the house (unless they opt for Ian’s brick floatation method, but I’m not sure we want a house made of floating bricks).

Currently trying to find a second hand patch panel in preparation for cabling the house (which is about 3-4 weeks off I think)..if anyone knows someone selling, or has a clue where I could find one, let me know (I’ve checked newspaper classified, tradingpost, hyman auctions, computermarket and cougar with no luck).

Kinda a bug, but since it uses the data submitted from the last page when it comes to this one, refreshing it will just resubmit the data (and also refresh the page!)…dunno if there’s anything I can do about it really, even if there was, I doubt I could be bothered ;)

Hey dude, I was refreshing on the “View comments” page, after I had entered my comments on the News Comment screen, and it added repeats of my original comment.

    Bug or feature?

What you doing double clicking the submit button? I pity the fool who double clicks!

Ian: Yeah, it’s MUCH easier to cable when there’s no roof or internal walls, apparently we go in with ladders and cabled in hand at about the same time the electrician turns up, wanna help? (should be about 3-4 weeks)…gotta lay all the cable through the roof trusses (there may be a roof on at that stage), then leave it hanging for a while until the internal walls go in, then when the walls are in, time to add the wall panels and patch panel (if i ever get one)

What state will the house be in when you install the network cable?

Does installing cable during construction make it easier than the way it’s done for an already built house?
